Gambling at sotspk
Gambling is entertainment — nothing more. At sotspk, we take that seriously. This page gives you the tools, knowledge and honest information you need to keep gaming a positive part of your life, whether you're following PSL T20 fixtures from Lahore or playing live casino from Karachi.
18+ Only — No Exceptions
This Platform is strictly for adults aged 18 years and over — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable operator or license jurisdiction. Age verification is not a formality; it is a legal and ethical requirement that we take seriously.
Being an adult does not automatically make online gambling lawful in Pakistan. The Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 and various provincial laws govern gambling activity. Users must verify whether their participation is lawful in their jurisdiction before proceeding. This is not legal advice.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor may have accessed this Platform, please contact our support team immediately. We recommend installing parental control software on any internet-connected device accessible to children in your household.
Minimum Age Requirement
Or the higher minimum required by the operator's license jurisdiction. Age alone does not determine legality in Pakistan.
Mandatory KYC for all withdrawals
CNIC / passport verification required
Underage accounts closed immediately
Parental control guidance available
Responsible Gambling Tools
These tools are built into your account and available to use at any time. Using them is a sign of smart, responsible play — not a sign of a problem. Set them up before you start playing, not after.
Deposit Limits
Set a cap on how much you can deposit per day, week or month. For example, you might set a PKR 5,000 daily limit or a PKR 25,000 monthly limit to keep spending predictable. Reductions apply immediately. Increases require a mandatory cooling-off period.
Loss Limits
Define the maximum amount you are willing to lose within a set period. Once your loss limit is reached, further wagering is restricted until the period resets. This is one of the most effective tools for keeping gambling within comfortable boundaries.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum duration for each gaming session. When your time is up, you'll receive a notification and your session will close. Time limits help prevent sessions from running on unnoticed, which is particularly useful during long PSL match-day evenings.
Self-Exclusion
Request a temporary pause or permanent restriction on your account. Self-exclusion activates immediately and cannot be reversed until the chosen period has elapsed. During exclusion, no new accounts may be opened. This is the most powerful tool available if gambling is no longer feeling fun.
Reality Checks
Periodic on-screen reminders during active sessions showing how long you've been playing and your net position (wins minus losses) for the session. These brief check-ins give you the information to make a conscious decision about whether to continue.
Cool-Off Periods
Take a short break of 24 hours, 48 hours or 7 days without going through full self-exclusion. A cool-off pauses your ability to deposit and wager while keeping your account open. Ideal for taking a planned break without a permanent decision.
How to Activate Your Controls
Every responsible gambling tool on sotspk is accessible directly from your account settings. You don't need to contact support to set a deposit limit or activate a cool-off — these controls are in your hands, where they belong.
We strongly recommend setting up at least a deposit limit and a session time limit before you start playing. It takes less than two minutes and means you're always playing within boundaries you've consciously chosen.
- Log into your account and navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling.
- Select Deposit Limits and choose your preferred period: daily, weekly or monthly.
- Enter your chosen limit in PKR (e.g., PKR 5,000 daily or PKR 20,000 monthly).
- Confirm your selection. Your limit activates immediately.
- To reduce the limit further, the change applies instantly. To increase it, a mandatory waiting period applies.
- Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Loss Limits.
- Choose your timeframe — daily, weekly or monthly — and enter your maximum acceptable loss figure.
- Once your net losses for the period reach your chosen limit, wagering is automatically suspended for the remainder of that period.
- The limit resets at the start of the next period (midnight for daily, Monday for weekly, 1st of the month for monthly).
- Navigate to Responsible Gambling → Session Time Limits in your account settings.
- Set your preferred maximum session duration in minutes or hours (e.g., 60 minutes per session).
- A visible on-screen timer will count down during your session.
- When your limit is reached, you will receive a notification and your session will close automatically. You may choose to log back in, but the timer resets the count.
Self-exclusion is the strongest control available. Please read the following carefully before activating:
- Go to Responsible Gambling → Self-Exclusion in your account settings.
- Choose a period: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or indefinite (permanent).
- Confirm your request. Self-exclusion activates immediately — your account is restricted at once.
- During self-exclusion, you will not be able to log in, deposit, wager or receive promotional communications.
- Requests to lift self-exclusion before the chosen period ends will not be processed. After the period ends, a mandatory re-evaluation process applies before access is restored.
- Navigate to Responsible Gambling → Take a Break.
- Choose your break duration: 24 hours, 48 hours or 7 days.
- Confirm. Your ability to deposit and wager is immediately suspended for the chosen period.
- Your account data, pending withdrawals and balance are preserved. The break ends automatically at expiry.
Gambling Is Entertainment
Understanding where gambling sits in your life is the foundation of responsible play. The bars below illustrate healthy attitudes and the boundaries that keep gaming enjoyable rather than harmful. These aren't targets or benchmarks — they're frames for thinking about what responsible gambling looks like in practice.
Self-Check: Are You Playing Responsibly?
If you answer yes to three or more of these questions, it may be time to use one of our responsible gambling tools or speak to a support professional.
Have you ever spent more on gambling than you originally intended to?
Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently during the day?
Have you tried to cut back on gambling and found it difficult?
Has gambling affected your finances, work, studies or relationships?
Have you ever borrowed money or sold belongings to fund gambling?
Do you chase losses by continuing to gamble after losing to try to win back what you lost?
Do you feel anxious, irritable or restless when you're not able to gamble?
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can affect anyone. Recognising the warning signs early — in yourself or someone close to you — makes it easier to seek help before the situation becomes serious.
Spending more money than you can afford on gambling, including dipping into household budgets or emergency savings
Chasing losses — continuing to gamble specifically to try to recover money you've already lost
Lying to family, friends or colleagues about how much time or money you spend on gambling
Neglecting work, studies, family responsibilities or social commitments because of gambling
Borrowing money from others — friends, family, colleagues — or taking out loans to fund gambling activity
Feeling anxious, depressed, guilty or irritable after gambling sessions, or when unable to gamble
Needing to gamble with increasingly larger amounts to feel the same level of excitement or engagement
Using gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety, loneliness or difficult personal circumstances
Repeatedly trying to cut back or stop gambling and being unable to do so despite genuine effort
Gambling for extended periods — several hours at a stretch — without noticing how much time has passed
Selling personal belongings or assets to raise funds for gambling
Thinking or talking about gambling constantly — upcoming bets, strategies or past wins dominating thoughts

The sotspk Responsible Gambling Pledge
We commit to making responsible gambling tools genuinely accessible — not buried in account settings but front and centre. We will never use manipulative design patterns to discourage tool activation, suppress responsible gambling information or delay self-exclusion requests.
We will not market to players who have activated self-exclusion or cool-off periods. We will not present gambling as a financial strategy. We will not use language that implies guaranteed outcomes.
Responsible gambling is not a box to tick — it is the standard we hold ourselves to on every page of this Platform, for every player across Pakistan.
